Thomaston Feed has been proudly serving Northwestern CT since 1991.  Founded by Mark Poveromo, a college educated animal nutritionist, environmental scientist and breeder of American Field Labrador Retrievers, Thomaston Feed has grown to be one of the largest holistic pet food retailers in the Northeast.

Through Mark’s mentoring, the General Manager, Michael Smith, has developed the knowledge and skills necessary to continue Mark’s legacy of providing a hands on holistic approach to pet nutrition.  Under Mike’s leadership, the entire team has the knowledge to recommend foods that improve your dog’s health, behavior, longevity and temperament.

In December 2019, Mark decided to sell Thomaston Feed.  Almost 2 years later, the long awaited closing finally happened and the business was sold to the current owner, Michael Bean.  Mike brings over 30 years of multi-unit retail experience from brands such as Yankee Candle Company, Victoria’s Secret, Bath and Body Works, LensCrafters and Starbucks Coffee.

The combined knowledge and expertise from the two Mikes has created an environment where you can count on a full inventory of the best products and recommendations for your pets.
